Ever wonder why American public schools are a mess? Why police and fire departments never seem to have enough money to do their jobs? Why going to the Post Office is one of life's most miserable tasks? Of course they are all government run operations, which by definition leads to fraud, waste and abuse...There is another factor, however, and that factor is public service unions. I'm glad to see DiSalvo made a distinction between private enterprise unions and public service unions. Both lead to fraud, waste and abuse, but if private businesses fail the problem is theirs, their unions, and their creditors...If the business of the public fails - which it does constantly - it is the problem of the people they are supposed to serve - THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. DiSalvo doesn't state the most important point in this semester, though I'm sure he believes it goes without saying: Public service unions do not collectively bargain against the government. Public service unions collectively bargain against the PEOPLE! The people are the ones paying their salaries and benefits, NOT THE GOVERNMENT. The people are the ones who suffer from the crappy product the government collectively bargains with these unions as well. Something to keep in mind during every election cycle when local and state bonds come crying for more money - which not surprisingly is EVERY election cycle...Even when they come out with scare tactics of having to lay off teachers, police, fire, etc. This semester of Prager University is presented by: Daniel DiSalvo
"[T]he impact they have on how state and local governments operate makes big banks, big oil and big pharma look small by comparison." - D.D.
"But, reform is coming. It must. If it doesn't, cities like Detroit will be the rule, not the exception." - D.D.
Unfortunately for her, she's nowhere near as good at lying as her hubby - Billy is a true Jedi Master at it.
"It's hard to claim this is all just a partisan witch hunt, when the Justice Department, under a Democratic administration, is looking into the whole email mess." - Eugene Robinson
Two things popped into my mind when I saw the above quote:
1. Eugene Robinson is a SUPER LIBERAL Washington Post Propagandameister...Not some Right Wing conspirator attacking 'The Queen.'
2. If the Justice Department had been witch hunting, it found one.
"What, like with a cloth or something?"
"Those (Snapchat) messages disappear all by themselves."
I guess I wasn't completely correct in saying 'The Queen' is a 'consistent liar'...I should have said 'The Queen' is an ARROGANT, CONSISTENT LIAR!!!
Prager University: The Green Truth - Extra Credit Assignments
"We teach what isn't taught." - Dennis Prager
Below are 5-Extra Credit Assignments from Prager University...It is very important for you to take part in all 5, but there is no need to do them all at once, or even in the order they are presented - though I would do the first one first. These Prager University Extra Credit Assignments are presented by:Patrick Moore - Co-Founder of Greenpeace....Not exactly an evil, Rightwing, anti-environment, Climate Change denier.
"The 'peace' in Greenpeace had faded away, only the 'green' part seemed to matter now. Humans, to use Greenpeace language, had become the enemies of the Earth." - P.M.
TRUMPISM "[D]efined as secure borders, economic nationalism, interests-based foreign policy, and above all judging every government action through a single lens: does this help or harm Americans." - Journal of American Greatness
THIS DAY IN HISTORY
1994 - Physicists at the U.S. Department of Energy's Fermin National Accelerator Laboratory discovered the subatomic particle called the top quark.
It’s a slow day, so why not.
If you understand it, please feel free to enlighten me
