Happy Birthday Jeff

Today (June 28th) Jeff would have been 30.

As each year goes by I look for positives which have resulted from Jeff's death...This year we decided to have a large family dinner outing, celebrating Jeff's 30th birthday.  I'm hoping we can do this every year.  All of us are busy and have conflicting interests, but it is nice to be able to get together - I know Jeff would have loved it.

I also know Jeff would have had an amazing time at the 30th birthday party we would have thrown for him...It wasn't meant to be, however, so we all agreed to take part in a special gesture at some point during the weekend:  A 30-Shot Salute.

This 30-Shot Salute is similar to a 21-Gun Salute, except it is an assortment of Jeff's family and friends taking a collection of 30-shots in recognition of his 30th birthday...Truth be told there were many more than 30 shots :)

I Hope Jeff Could Look Down and Watch Us Celebrate His Day.

Prager University: Profits Are Progressive

"We teach what isn't taught." - Dennis Prager

There is no denying there have been, and still are, some true profit-pigs.  Names like Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt, and Carnegie come to mind in the past.  Names like Gates, Jobs, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Oprah, etc, should ring a bell for our modern times.  These mega-billionaires truly live the life of the Roman emperors; lives almost every person in the history of the world couldn't/can't even dream of.

But these people could never have gotten so rich had they not produced a product or service people wanted to buy.  These people also could never have gotten so rich had they not employed so many people.  This is the genius of profit...It is why millions of immigrants flood our country.  They may dream of becoming billionaires, but they know it is unlikely.  What they hope for is to enter the middle class - a level of affluency they have almost no hope of enjoying in their own countries, where profit is limited to very few, and the middle class is almost non-existent.  But in American, with a profit-based economy, we have produced the largest middle class in the history of humanity.  Sure there are profit-pigs, and sure there are truly poor.  But the majority of Americans are middle class - the result of a profit based economy...If Liberals ever want to see the middle class shrink, they only need to find ways to kill our profit based economy.  Oh, I forget, they constantly do just that.

That said, can anyone explain to me why so-called Liberals and Progressives never seem to complain about the profit-pigs who espouse their Left-wing ideology?  Look at any list of American millionaires and billionaires and I'm quite certain you will find far more Democrats than Republicans...It's not even close, yet we only hear about those on the Right.

And one more question.  Why is it so-called Liberals and Progressives complain far more about small business owners making $250K than they do about their pals in the entertainment, sports and media industries making $$$millions?  Hmm???

This semester of Prager University is presented by:  Walter Williams

"Thank goodness for profits.  Profits motivate people to work hard for themselves, and make life better for others." - W.W.

"The profit motive pushes people to do extraordinary things.  Take that motivation away, and the world becomes a very different and darker place." - W.W.

Vote for Hillary, because...

...because she wants to become "The Queen,"

Hugh Hewitt is a brilliant political commentator and he has a new book out called "The Queen:  The Epic Ambition of Hillary, and the Coming of a 'Second Clinton Era.'"

I hope you are familiar with "The Prince" - Nicollo Machiavelli's 16th Century masterpiece on how to get and keep power...It is a treatise on pure political power; getting it and keeping it in any way necessary - any way.  It's where the phrase 'Machiavellian' came from.

"The Queen" is written in the same fashion as "The Prince," and is a guidebook for Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 Presidential Election - or more simply, how to become "The Queen."

For those who don't know, Hugh Hewitt is a Conservative...The last thing he wants is for Hillary to become "The Queen" - extending the Obama presidency another 4-8 years.  And make no mistake, Hillary is much more ideologically and  temperamentally similar to President Obama than she is to President Clinton.  Bill was not driven by power - Obama and Hillary are.

Incredibly, at this short period into the presidential campaign season, Hillary has brilliantly performed her role as Hewitt suggested:  Looking down on and lying to the American people, and ignoring the press - when she does speak to the press she treats them exactly as she does the American people...It will be interesting to see if Hewitt completely predicted her actions; so far he has, but there is a long way to go until Nov. 2016.

I recommend you purchase this book (it's currently going for $19.50 at Amazon - just click the links above)...Why??

1.  Hewitt is an amazing writer and you will enjoy the content, even if you don't like the idea of Hillary becoming "The Queen"

2.  You will get a preview of her coming campaign.  Even more important, you will get a preview of her coming presidency if she becomes "The Queen"

3.  I want everyone to start calling Hillary "The Queen"...Those who do not want her to become "The Queen" should recognize the value in defining her as "The Queen".  Defining your opponent is an important first step in defeating your opponent.  Hillary acts like "The Queen" it is our job to make sure everyone understands her desire to become "The Queen"  She doesn't want to be 'America's Grandma.'  She doesn't want to be a 'Moderate Democrat.'  She wants power - she wants to be "The Queen."

Go get the book, but even more important, stop referring to Hillary as Hillary or Hillary Rodham or HRC, or whatever...Any time you refer to her, call her "The Queen".  And then explain who "The Queen" is when you are asked.
For those wondering about the colors used above:  I do not refer to Democrats/Liberals in the traditional 'blue.'  I correctly reference them in 'red,' because they are so close ideologically to their communist cousins.  I don't say this negatively.  It just is what it is.

You will notice "The Queen" is referenced in 'purple.'  Since at least the time of the Romans, purple has been the color of royalty - exactly what "The Queen" wishes to become.

Father's Day

"The family is the primary transmitter of social capital - the values and character traits that enable people to seize opportunities.  Family structure is a primary predictor of an individual's life chances." - George Will

On this Father's Day, I want to highlight the BIGGEST PROBLEM IN AMERICAN SOCIETY - the reason for many of the other great problems in the U.S...This 1 picture is worth much more than 1,000 words.

"No explanation can fill the hole in a child's heart where a daddy ought to be." - Author Unknown

There are many reasons for this problem.  Some are legitimate - Most aren't.  Most are excuses for irresponsibility and selfishness.

"[Y]ou'll never hear a poor working-class mom struggling to pay the bills, put food on the table, and fulfill both parental roles celebrate her 'liberation' from the shackles of the traditional family model.  Chances are when she lies awake at night contemplating her future and that of her children, she feels the absence of a husband and father lying in the bed beside her.  Every day, she and her children pay the price for a culture that has marginalized the role of men to that of mere inseminator." - Ken Connor

Rome fell due to Christianity, demography and barbarians, disease, sloth, etc...I'm betting a thousand years from now when the historians are writing the American story, 'FATHERLESSNESS' will be one of the root causes of our decline and fall.

"How much has the moral decay of society contributed to the acceptance of men who feel no responsibility for children they've created?  How much of a child's rage and anger comes from feeling abandoned or unwanted by their fathers?  Eighty-five percent of the youths in prison are from fatherless homes.  Children without fathers account for 63 percent of youth suicides, 70 percent of teenage pregnancies, 80 percent of rapists with displaced anger, 85 percent of children with behavioral problems, and 71 percent of high school dropouts.  The left's immoral and destructive dogmas coincide with the rise of these deplorable statistics." - Lee Culpepper
